6.4L HEMI^® V8 ENGINE

The 6.4L HEMI^® V8 engine is the standard engine for the 2021 Ram Chassis Cab. Using variable-cam timing and Fuel Saver Technology, it provides full-rated V8 power when needed and outstanding efficiency when operating in four-cylinder mode. The 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission offers reliability and efficiency and features eight speeds and on-the-fly shift mapping to accommodate changing loads and road conditions. The Aisin six-speed automatic transmission is also available and has been optimized for exceptional towing as well as outstanding Power Take Off capability, impressive efficiency and low noise, vibration and harshness.

Show your strength. A reengineered frame incorporates a powerful steel rear frame strength of 50,000 psi with a hydroformed front-rail system.

AVAILABLE DUAL FUEL TANKS

Extend your range by staying on the job. Choose either the 52-gallon Single Rear-Mounted Fuel Tank, or the available 74-gallon Dual Fuel Tank combination which consists of the 52-gallon tank and a 22-gallon midship fuel tank. It includes two independent fill necks to accommodate your upfit. The system automatically transfers fuel between the tanks, eliminating your need to switch between fuel sources.

ELECTRONIC 4X4 FRONT-AXLE DISCONNECT

The 2021 Ram Chassis Cab is designed to disconnect the front axle automatically when extra traction is not needed and 4x4 mode is disengaged by the driver.

ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTERS

Active grille shutters instantly adapt to speed, load and engine temperature. This provides optimum engine cooling, maximum efficiency and reduced aerodynamic drag.

ENGINE SHUTDOWN TIMER

The available engine shutdown timer turns off your engine/Power Take Off automatically after idling for five minutes. Drivers can also disable the timer when their work requires it.

POWER TAKE-OFF (PTO) CONFIGURATIONS

Both available Aisin automatic transmissions offer PTO capability from the left or right side with 4x4 or 4x2 configurations to accommodate a variety of upfits. Plus, the available 6.7L Cummins^® Turbo Diesel engine lets you choose between two speeds by engaging Split-Shaft Mode.
